Jen's current case load:
Donald Winger v. The City of New York
Sixteen year old Donald Winger was beaten severely by two police officers responding to a disturbance call. The disturbance was the recently and obviously manifested young mutant attempting being harassed by several youths shouting obscenities and bigoted remarks at the young man. The incident was recorded on street cam and the resistance to the claim lies mainly on city believing that the jury will sympathize with the officers as opposed to the less than cuddly looking plaintiff.
Jen is having a particularly hard time with this one thanks to her own issues about being on the right side of the thin blue line and the tension it's causing between her and NYPD. She's also dealing with a judge who's up for re-election and is purposely taking an anti-superhuman stance.
[Name Redacted], [Name Redacted], [Name Redacted], [Name Redacted], and [Name Redacted] v. Alexander Troy
Jen is legal council for five different former TAs for the defendant. All five women were sexually harassed and lost intellectual property to Troy. Troy is a mutant with touch based telepathy who has used it to mine his TAs for the ideas and inventions that have kept his career going. He is willing to pay a sum of money and admit to the sexual harassment, but refuses to admit to the theft. Jen has to find a way both to prove that he actually stole the intellectual property and that these women deserve some kind of recompense for their loss.
...Another one that I've forgotten.
