All Systems Are Go

Finally got the details all hammered out with Playboy. For a sum of money I'm contractually bound not to discuss with anyone who isn't my accountant, my banker, and the internal revenue service, there will be a (roughly) seven page spread including being that month's centerfold.  There will be two interviews, one to be conducted in each identity. Part of the interview will discuss the new sex toy business venture. I will also be posing for the nude first time as Jenn Walters.

Now for the bit you actually care about. There will be a party the weekend of the fifth and sixth of March at the Play Boy Mansion to celebrate the release of the issue rather than the shoot itself. All old invites still stand as they're sending the jet. There may, in fact, be room for a few more depending on how things pan out.

Ok, now that I actually know what I'm doing with chica, it seems a good time to give the breakdown.

At the end of She-Hulk's last solo series, Jenn was given a non-ending. One of the people she loved most in the world was killed for impersonating her by a villain who was trying to get revenge on her in person. Her international trial was handwaved in the face of her popularity with implication that the next writer could use the same handwave to make her a lawyer again. I may be one of the few fans who loved that series all the way through, but the ending was lame as hell. This character is basically me trying to take off from there and not do the same.

Broken Not Useless
They took the heart out of the hero and she got sick of being the hero. Getting out of jail at the cost of a person she loved left her reevaluating her view on the world as a whole. She's done being a hero who plays with the big boys and makes nice while they trade secrets about who she's slept with when her back is turned. If she's a fallen woman, she's going to be a fallen woman and play on her own terms and answering to her own conscience. Given her native intelligence and internal sense of right and wrong, this is more likely to be shown through a lack of commitment, no longer working with other superhero teams, and flaunting her sexuality rather than suddenly going to the dark side. Searching For Order
Stripped of everything else, her inner sense of right and wrong played the role of a person finding religion. She went to the city where she grew up and was first transformed to try and fix her relationship with the law. She's joined the police academy and will eventually head a special division within the Los Angeles county police department that specializes in making both superhuman and magical beings pay for their crimes under the law. She returns to trying to be the perfect daughter of a respected cop.
